Dubai Announces $1.5 Billion Worth of New Residential Projects

    His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has approved a series of housing projects worth AED 5.4 billion ($1.5 billion) to enhance the quality of life for residents across various parts of Dubai.

    According to WAM, the projects will include the construction of 3,004 new homes for Emirati citizens. Among these, 1,181 homes will be built in Latifa City for recipients of housing loans. Additional developments include 606 homes in Al Awir 1, 200 homes in the Makan neighborhood of Hatta, 120 homes in Oud Al Muteena, and 67 homes in Dubai’s rural areas for beneficiaries of the housing grant program.

    Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of these initiatives, stating:
    “Housing programs for citizens are a top priority. We are dedicated to ensuring that our people enjoy the highest living standards and have the support they need to foster stable family environments and community well-being. People are the cornerstone of our development journey and the foundation of Dubai’s global achievements.”

    Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MRHE), highlighted that these projects align with the leadership’s vision to provide citizens with exceptional living standards.

    “These housing projects are part of a comprehensive strategy by the MRHE to address the future housing needs of Emirati citizens. They are designed to create integrated residential communities that meet all modern urban planning standards, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents,” he explained.

    The MRHE's long-term plan prioritizes citizens’ needs, aiming to support public welfare and maintain high-quality living environments for the next 20 years. These projects reflect Dubai’s commitment to providing world-class housing solutions while fostering a sense of community and stability for its people.
