The Cabinet of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has approved the issuance of a 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa on Monday for all nationalities willing to visit the country.
This decision took place in the first meeting of the Cabinet during the Year of Preparation 2020, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the Prime Minister, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai. This move will boost the tourism economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Additionally, it will also strengthen the position of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a global tourist destination.
Ali Mohammad Bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, in a statement, pointed out that United Arab Emirates (UAE) has always been proactive in issuing such laws and regulations that strengthen the global position of UAE as well as boost the economic sector of the country.
Al Shamsi also affirmed that the decision of the Cabinet to approve the new policy for the 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa reflects the keenness of a wise leader to upgrade the rules and regulations according to the current demands of tourists. This decision will drive the economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) forward and will also help the country deal with global developments in a better way.
He further added that the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship will implement this decision as soon as possible.
The decision made by the Cabinet comes in conjunction with the preparations for Expo 2020 Dubai which is one of the major global events being organized by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Since the United Arab Emirates (UAE) receives more than 21 million tourists each year, such a decision will strengthen the position of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a global tourist hub.
